The Return of Summer Conferences

Have you noticed something missing these past two summers? Perhaps the youthful exuberance of sports and leadership camps, of outreach programs experiencing our beautiful campus for the first time, and the buzz of visiting scholars sharing their research? We are pleased to report that campus leadership has approved a full return of our summer conference operations!

Transitioning Back to Normalcy

Over the past two years, COVID-19 has changed the way we work and live. Because of campus community members' high vaccination rate coupled with boosters, we now have the opportunity to transition back to normalcy this summer. COVID-19: Two Years Later

As we prepare for the last quarter of the 2021-2022 academic year, I want to applaud the work that everyone has accomplished while facing immense challenges. I also want to breathe a sigh of relief due to COVID positivity numbers dropping across the country, including Santa Barbara County and here on campus, and the shifts taking place at this time – shifts that are moving away from public health mandates toward public health recommendations.
