Getting Here is Half the Fun
Many of us have found alternate ways to break down the commute from a one car/one person drive and thanks to the UCSB Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) there are even some nice perks thrown in to incentivize us to take the plunge. If you are a UCSB employee living in Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo or even Thousand Oaks, you may ride the Clean Air Express buses as well as the vanpools and of course, carpools. Or maybe up until now, none of those options has appealed to you.

UCSB Urban Art Workshop Completes 10th Mural for Isla Vista
On June 8, UCSB students unveiled the most recent mural from UCSB’s Urban Art Workshop, a class taught by Andrew Morrison, artist and UCSB graduate student studying to obtain his MFA. The Spring 2018 mural was completed at 6598 Trigo Road, an apartment complex managed by The Hive.
Engaging Gauchos through Instagram Contests
Snap a picture, upload and tag @ucsbresdining! It’s just that easy for our Gaucho patrons to engage and demonstrate their enthusiasm for our food and all things dining. Every quarter, the dining marketing team sponsors an Instagram contest and selects a winning image based on the theme. Previous contests have included: capture the new Portola building (inside or outside), post a delicious UCSB waffle picture, take a pic of your most appetizing dish/food from the dining commons, and more.
