Staying Fit & Calm with Zoom Workouts

Exercising might not be a priority in our lives as we try to protect ourselves, our families, and our communities during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Perhaps it should be, as physical activity is one of the most powerful forces for good health. Physical activity helps prevent and/or treat many physical and mental health conditions. Staying active can reduce stress, improve our immune system, and strengthen our muscles.

On-Line Workouts & Wellness

Our HDAE Wellness program has been offering meditation with Linda Baffa on Tuesdays, Yoga with Kristin Davies on Thursdays, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) with Leslie on Wednesdays, and HomeStretch Monday-Friday from 9:30am- 9:45am all live on zoom! Dates, times, and zoom links are posted on SharePoint in the Announcements section, as well as on our Wellness SharePoint. Can’t make the live classes? All classes are recorded and shared shortly after each class on SharePoint. The UCSB Recreation Center is also offering a variety of free fitness classes - check them out!

Let’s commit to taking care of ourselves by continuing or starting a habit of staying active. Questions? Please contact Leslie at lesliecramirez@ucsb.edu.
