Engaging Gauchos through Instagram Contests

Snap a picture, upload and tag @ucsbresdining! It’s just that easy for our Gaucho patrons to engage and demonstrate their enthusiasm for our food and all things dining. Every quarter, the dining marketing team sponsors an Instagram contest and selects a winning image based on the theme. Previous contests have included: capture the new Portola building (inside or outside), post a delicious UCSB waffle picture, take a pic of your most appetizing dish/food from the dining commons, and more.

Menus-To-Go

Meeting the needs of our hungry dining patrons, Residential Dining Services launched a new mobile- and user-friendly site that displays interactive menus. By saving the address on any smartphone or selecting the ‘Interactive Menu’ link from dining’s ‘Menus’ page, diners will have a quicker and more effective way to view menu options. Menus can be viewed for each of the dining commons up to a week in advance or can be viewed by the day’s meal periods.
