On the Agenda: Adapting to Change

On February 26th, Residential Operations staff gathered for a Town Hall style meeting in Corwin Pavilion. Associate Vice Chancellor Willie Brown gave an informative presentation on the structure of the newly formed Housing, Dining, and Auxiliary Enterprises (HDAE) and shared information about the phases of the ongoing transition process. Keeping on the theme of change, the next presenter, Michelle Mollkoy, gave a helpful presentation about navigating change. Operations staff learned how to move from rumination to resilience, and about the benefits of managing stress. The number one thing we can all do to reduce stress is to get more sleep – even five more minutes helps! Lastly, Marlene Cohen led the group in setting goals to put insights learned from the presentation into action. The meeting wrapped up with each person stating in one word their experience working for Residential Operations. The top three words were: Family, Teamwork, and Proud.
