CONGRATULATIONS! Danny Laub and Ginnie Thomas were selected as Professional Women’s Association Unsung Heros for their hard work and dedication to improving the campus community. They were presented with a certificate at the PWA Conference on May 10…Julie Levangie was nominated for a NRHH (National Residence Hall Honorary) “Of the Month” award for actively making sure incoming students have up-to-date and accurate information online…Nikita Corbliss’ bacon praline cookie took top honors in the UCSB Staff Assembly Cookie Contest…Tyler Miller is the new WACUHO President Elect…Danny Candia has a new addition to his family! Danny Jr. was born March 20th and he weighed 6lbs 15 oz and was 21.5” long.  

San Rafael Residence Hall talented & caring staff members were awarded six (!) Of the Months awards by NRHH (National Residence Hall Honorary). These awards highlight outstanding work within the residential community among faculty, staff, and residents.

Our talented graphic artist, Eric Zobel, is adding more wall graphics to the Carrillo Laundry Room. This land and ocean animal themed mural should be done by early summer.

Residential Operations staff members visited Super Bee Rescue in Carpinteria. They were checking out bee swarms that have been removed from UCSB. We bee-lieve in saving bees!

UCSB Housing staff just graduated from a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course put on by the Santa Barbara County Fire Department. Our talented & caring staff members are helping to make UCSB a safer place. Thanks team!
