The large circular area in the center of Sierra Madre Villages is being restored by the Cheadle Center for Biodiversity & Ecological Restoration as a vernal pool. It will hold water seasonally from winter to spring and supports a unique suite of plants and invertebrates. The periphery of the pool will be planted with native grassland and coastal sage scrub plant species.
Our talented graphic artist, Eric Zobel, is working on wall graphics to liven up the Carrillo Laundry Room. The mural will have an animal theme (land and ocean, and all native to this area.) Stay tuned for more whimsical images!
