Tina Valencia, Gifts Department Manager of The Campus Store, is very excited about the birth of her 5th grandchild! Florence Emma Valencia (pictured below) was born October 19, 2022 at 11:54am. She weighed 8lbs 12oz… Paul Barragan, Transportation & Parking Services, and his family welcomed a baby boy on September 13: Paul Antonio Barragan, 20” long and 7lb 6oz. 

The UCSB Campus Store was selected for the cover of The College Store Magazine’s back-to-school issue! The College Store Magazine is an official publication of the National Association of College Stores and the leading trade magazine for higher education retailers. Carol Dreste, Interim Campus Store Director, was featured as well.

It's a wrap on 2022 summer conferences as of Saturday, September 17, at 9am when the last September Temporary Housing guests checked out of Santa Rosa Residence Hall. Conference & Hospitality Services created a 2022 summary slide that tells their story by the numbers as well as visually via a summer highlight video. C&HS would like to thank everyone for the support and grace they were provided as they rebuilt their operation and welcomed so many happy guests back to campus this summer. HDAE’s incredibly dedicated teams make conference season possible, meeting challenge after challenge, and always going above and beyond. Thank you!

As part of the Dream Foundation's Flower Empower program, we received more than 600 orchids from Westerlay Orchids to pass out to our HDAE team members! After a challenging 2+ years, it was fun to see the smiles generated by these beautiful tokens of appreciation.
