Happy Holidays!

As the year draws to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many accomplishments we’ve achieved together in 2024. This has been a year filled with challenges, growth, and incredible teamwork, and I am truly inspired by all that we’ve accomplished as Housing, Dining & Auxiliary Enterprises.

From launching employee engagement initiatives, like the Meet HDAE Open House and Resource Fair, to improving the ways we support our students, every effort you’ve made has had an impact. Whether you contributed to the success of Move-in, supported colleagues through changes, or simply brightened someone’s day with your kindness, you’ve helped make our organization stronger.

A particular highlight for me this year has been the strong commitment to completing our mandatory compliance training. I understand this is a major lift on each employee and I am grateful to see our numbers consistently above the campus average. Your dedication to these efforts creates a safe and engaging environment for our students, which is the foundation of everything we do.

We have exciting opportunities on the horizon with the new housing projects, San Benito and the East Campus project. As we enter 2025, we’ll continue to focus on growth, innovation, and building a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute their best. In January, we will launch the next employee engagement survey through McLean & Company. Please take time to provide us with the necessary feedback we use to improve our employees’ experience.
