Celebrating Spring and Forward Momentum

Spring quarter is in full swing, and our departments are busy celebrating the last weeks of this academic year and planning for the start of the next. Your efforts to enhance the student experience continue to inspire me. 

On Wednesday, May 8, we will host our next HDAE Town Hall where we will recognize service milestones and provide important updates that impact our organization, including updates about our student housing projects. One of my biggest points of pride to share with you is our progress toward completing required compliance training among our career and student staff. 

As one of the largest divisions on campus and an employer of 1,650 student employees and 706 staff employees, HDAE is currently more than 94% compliant with all mandatory trainings. Thank you for your diligent attention to this matter as these compliance numbers are of the utmost importance to our senior leadership.

Thank you for keeping up the good work and for making HDAE the most compliant division on campus.

I am excited to share an update on our progress in hiring the Sr. Executive Director of Auxiliary Services position announced in Fall 2022 as part of a larger reorganization within HDAE. This position will oversee the Campus Store, Conference & Hospitality Services, Transportation & Parking Services, and the University and Events Centers. In April, we welcomed three strong candidates with exceptional experience and leadership in auxiliary services. We are in the final selection stages and anticipate announcing the new Sr. Executive Director in the coming weeks.
