The Club & Guest House Opens its Doors
The UCSB Community Celebrates the Grand Opening of the Newly Renovated The Club & Guest House
After undergoing an extensive renovation and expansion, The Club & Guest House at UCSB is now officially open for business! With a view overlooking the campus lagoon and the ocean, it’s the perfect place to gather, meet, stay, and dine.
Although it opened on January 9, the official Grand Opening was on January 31, 3:30pm to 6pm. The event kicked off with speeches by Stephen Weatherford, President of the Club Board of Directors; Marc Fisher, Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services; Betty Elings Wells, a donor that helped fund the renovation of The Club; and Chancellor Henry Yang.
After the ceremonial ribbon cutting, attendees enjoyed tours of beautiful Guest House rooms and state-of-the-art meeting spaces, tasty bite-size versions of menu items, and stunning views and entertainment by the UCSB Dance Company on the terrace. Guests had the opportunity to win a variety of raffle prizes including a stay in one of our stylish Guest House rooms, memberships, and lunch for two.
If you couldn’t make it to the Grand Opening, please visit us now! The Club & Guest House is open to all members of the UCSB community and the public. The Dining Room at The Club is open for lunch Monday – Friday, 11:30a.m.-1:30p.m. For more information, please visit www.theclub.ucsb.edu or follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
