Career Clothing Closet
Helping Gauchos Dress for Success
The Campus Store partnered this winter with the Career Clothing Closet event led by Stacey Eyma. A team of volunteers set up and distributed items in the Campus Store lobby on January 16 from 11am to 3pm. Lightly used professional clothing was donated by campus staff, faculty and even by Chancellor Yang. The items were then offered to all students in need of professional business attire for future job interviews or professional events.
We're happy to report that 237 students were assisted and 517 clothing items were distributed during the event! Events like these empower students to achieve economic independence and thrive in work and in life. It's a win-win, as it also helps de-clutter closets of those donating their clothes.
Future donation drives and distributions dates will be scheduled in the future.
